Hi Ron - I made that same climb - except was coming from Yosemite towards Reno. Plus it was a long time ago in 1959 and I was about 13, the road was a 2 lane then both going up and down. If I remember correctly they were widening it at that very time so the downhill - eastern side - was very tricky. Running on dirt and gravel with what seemed one wheel off the road and a mile straight down -

The Senora Pass Lodge' - very primitive even at that time. What a wild ride.
