Nearly the exact same thing happened to me. I thought the batteries were going bad in the digital tire gage - but the old analog gage showed the same pressure. I lowered the pressure to the max sidewall recommended pressure
(35psi) - I wonder if this is a dealer gimick to demo the vehicles and show "inflated" mpg to potential buyers - then the prep-boys forgot to lower the tire pressure on delivery.
