Default Re: 03 HCH New transmission

You better call the Honda regional service rep.

If this is a repair of a repair, it usually has a warranty from the original repair.

If this is indeed related to the first problems, don't hestiate to pick up that phone.

No reason to be out $309 if it is their problem. You're only a little over the powertrain warranty, no??

I'm now at 85,000 miles and it has started again. After a $90 diagnositc fee, Now they say that Honda Tech has issued a "procedure" for them to do a clutch service. This involves 4 or so hours of draining CVT, driving, following certain procedures, draining CVT again, driving, CVT fluid several times, as well as computer clutch timing calibration.... at my cost of $309. No new parts, just time and lots of CVT fluid.

This is the first time it's hitting my pocket... and although I'm well over warrantly, I'm annoyed that a problem with such a history has involved so many different parts and is still causing me problems.

Just wanted to report back to the group... Curious if any of you have had this clutch service, what you paid, and if it worked.
