Default Re: What does GM have to say?

I'm still at a loss when I see others make emotionally charged posts on this topic and somehow "it's different" and not demonization???? Totally unconvinced my message and presentation is that different at all.

There might be a difference with a story rather than a statement, esp. if there is a picture. Yes, it's more personal. Sorry you don't like hearing those accounts.

Your troller/flame-baiter charge might be a little more plausable if the theme of this forum was speed, performance, and one-ton trucks/SUVs. That would be attacking the majority of the members and the theme. My understanding of a hybrid forum is encouraging a gas-saving technology, which usually means driving a resonably-sized vehicle. So I'm judgemental by pointing out commuting alone to work in a 5,000-6,000 pound vehicle could be wasteful? Again, I don't seem to be alone or all that distinctive in such posts.

Let me understand this: a forum is started, grows and has quite a few members that support 40+mpg vehicles. A couple of years later, someone joins and get defensive when it's pointed out a 10mpg jumbo SUV is inconsistent with fuel economy and a clean environment, not to mention many articles and personal observations indicate narcassism by quite a few of the drivers. The forum must totally redefine itself to the newcomer(s) because he declares the members that were in here before him trolls? This kind of logic is usually found in Dilbert - flawed.

P.S. I don't have a problem with various vehicles used as long as it fits - I just see a lot of instances that are bad fit. Until I see a lot of jumbo SUVs driving far from a paved road, the "utility" is bogus.

Don't you think that a forum named GreenHybrid would be populated by members that want to drive vehicles that are green, hybrid or both? How is a Hummer consistent with green or hybrid?

Note to myself: put this thread away - subsequent attacks will validate the defensive replies are irrational. (Mr. Kite for instance, who wanted to continue a closed thead last week because I refused to recant a factual observation with his fiction to support his POV and an apparent friend of his that PMed a diatribe)
