We went to a wedding over on the eastern shoreline of CT today, so we put about 170 miles on the car and brought it up over 1000 miles. For the first time ever I heard the center console squeak. My husband was driving and he had his leg over leaning against the side there, and we had a bottle of water and a soda in the cupholders. Usually when I drive I have nothing in the cupholders and I don't lean my leg there. If I took the bottle of water out and he moved his leg it stopped squeaking. Anyhow, I guess we will be asking the dealership to do something about that, because hubby can't stand the squeak. My solution: turn up the stereo

We actually went out of our way to get over into the far left lane so we could get a closer look at a car that we thought (from a distance in the rear view) was another Jasper Pearl TCH. It turned out to be a Silver Pine Mica Avalon, which we realized when it got closer

. On more than one occasion on our trip from my vantage point in the passenger seat, I saw drivers of other vehicles checking out the hybrid badges on my TCH. It was either that, or they had some real interest in the front passenger tire...

FE on this tank with 201 miles is 39.6, which I think is really good considering that today's trip was mostly highway.
