While it is a 1999 model and you got your use from it what was the depreciation on the STS and what would have been the replacement cost for a new one, similarly equiped?

Not to change this thread into a non-TCH thread, but the 99STS was $50k new. I bought it used in 2002 with 34k miles (it came off of a 3yr lease) for $27k. I sold it early this year with 75k miles for $12k, and that was including a $2500 set of 19" wheels and new tires. A new STS is still about $50k, but it's a much better car now (e.g. rear wheel drive). I also put at least $5k in non-routine maintenance in 4 years, with the biggest being $3k to replace blown head gasket at 62k (right after the factory warranty ran out). So I learned two things with that car: #1 - I'm never buying a lease-return vehicle again, and #2 - I'm always buying the extended warranty.
