Hello since this is my first post (i'll introduce myself in the apropiate place later) a small resume. Frank, 28 from the netherlands (europe)
I'm awaiting delivery of my pearl black HCH2, with beige leather and full options on november the 15th.
I don't now the specs on mexican hybrids but my HCH has 90 bhp on fuel and an additional 20 bhp electricity. This should be more than enough to get up a steep hill. Trying to get up a hill from a standstill might be a bit heavy on the clutch (but thats what the parkingbrake is for)
I've crossed the alps, dolomites and pyrenees in cars with a lot less oomph. In average an european car would have around 110 bhp, but most have a (a lot) less. On the German autobahn 110 bhp would get you up to around 210
kph real. I'll be sure to test this with a gps as soon as i get my hybrid. of course i'll run it in proparly first.
One of your "problems" might be the fuel quality. for high performance you need high octane fuel. A lot of cars overhere run on at least 98 Ron or higher. In germany they sell 102 octane with special additives for riding at high speeds for longer periods. F.Y.I. max speed in the netherlands is 120
kph, at 140 youre cruising allong with the rest of the traffic and above this speed you have to pay a hefty fine when cought but it would be wiser to go to germany where there is no speedlimit on a lot of the highway's
Hope youre HCH gets its speeds back a.s.a.p
