Thanks, Steve and Jason - I'll try the tank-by-tank method.

Steve - Do you reset the Average FE guage each time you fill up? What do you think so far about the Escape vs the Prius? ...although it's probably an apples/oranges comparison since they're such different vehicles.

Jason - the FE screen in the Escape gives a bar that displays instantaneous FE, a histogram that displays FE over the last 15 minutes -- the newest minute of data shows up on the left side of the graph while old data falls off the right side, (this seems oddly backwards to me) and then the Average FE is displayed in the center of it all - this is the data I'm most interested in. It does not reset with each tank of gas but can be reset manually at any time.
