Actually the NAV unit has been in use in the UK for some time (known as a model VNR 9000) and was only slightly modified to handle the HyBrids in the US.

The video signal does not go through the ACP, only the control messages. The ACP bus would not be even capable of video the message format just won't support it. The video is connected directly to the head unit.
