A little more information (included on the survey): Our client is LippSync Automotive, Inc. based in Tacoma, WA. LippSync has developed a new product that would simulate and project (outside of the vehicle) the sound of an accelerating/decelerating engine as your car accelerates/decelerates. This product could simulate basic car sounds for (currently silent/quiet) hybrids, or it could imitate unique sounds (such as a 1960's sports car, Mac truck, horse and buggy, etc.) for both hybrids and nonhybrid vehicles.

We were about to buy a Hybrid for use in Juneau Alaska
We decided against it because the car would be parked outside and get very cold during the night and the car would only be driven for 15 minutes each way to and from work.
The cold and the short commute would mean that the battery would seldom get warm enough to operate normally and we would see only the slightest improvement in mpg over a regular gas engine.
Are our conclusions correct about hybrid performance in cold climates like Alaska?

I found a 2005 Toyota Prius for sale on Craigslist.com. It has 136k miles on it...But it's only $6,000. This will be my first "official" car and I will be using it to drive from college back home about twice a month (400 mile round trip). Is this a good deal for me? I think the price is low, but will the car last me a good while?
Its on sale from a dealer, so I am assuming I can get a carfax report and necessary records. What should I look for specifically?
