A sport utility vehicle (SUV) is a generic marketing term for a vehicle similar to a station wagon, but built on a light-truck chassis.[1] Usually equipped with four-wheel drive for on- or off-road ability, and with some pretension or ability to be used as an off-road vehicle, some SUVs include the towing capacity of a pickup truck with the passenger-carrying space of a minivan. Since SUVs are considered light trucks and often share the same platforms of pick-ups, they are regulated less strictly than passenger cars under the two laws in the United States, the Energy Policy and Conservation Act for fuel economy, and the Clean Air Act for emissions.

I'm a student working on a design for retractable insulation for a catalytic converter. This design will primarily be marketed towards hybrid vehicles, since temperatures in the catalytic converter can drop below where the converter is effective when the ICE isn't running. It would be helpful to me as I narrow down my designs if you would take a brief survey that focuses mainly on what costs the average hybrid owner is willing to pay if it meant dramatically reducing emissions. It will only take about 60 seconds, I promise. The survey can be found here: Click Here to take survey

Thanks for your help!!!

I just purchased a 09 Mazda Tribute, same as the Escape, and it seems that the gas pedal is super sensitive. You need to start real slow to keep the gas engine from firing up. This has to be annoying to the cars behind me. I usually take off using the gas engine and then take my foot off the gas to let the electric engine take over after I am up to speed. I was wondering if there is an adjustment the Dealer can make. I have not taken it in or asked the service department yet. Any comments?

I realize that the old database has been closed. My log entries through ~ June 2009 are saved in the old database.

Every time I login to Greenhybrid I see a warning that I am viewing the old database. When I click the link to "add a tank" I assumed that would open the correct form to enter mileage data to the "currently active" database. However, I cannot see my log entries to the database since ~ June 2009.

Please advise where I have gone awry. I'm hoping that my recent entries to the database have not been lost.

Thanks:embarass::embarass:
