Well I've found that most will sell for BlueBook. Check out http://www.kbb.com and that should give you a price that you shouldn't pay more than.

Since your in Mexico, it doesn't sound like any tax credits (on new) are of interest to you.

If you need a Texas Zip code, put it 77002.

For what it's worth, I got my new 2007 Prius for about what KBB was appraising 2006 Prius (with 20 miles on it) at. So your really not going to save a whole lot buy buying it used.

good luck.

Hola Florian, I saw this ad in the San Antonio paper recently. Prius 04, fully equipped, 67000 miles, $13995. Universal Toyota, 1-800-884-0222. I have no personal knowledge of this dealer.

If you plan to come up to look at it, please send me a email and I will try to help you assess its condition. Honestly that price seems low to me, so tenga cuidado.

There was a used Prius on the lot at Sterling McCall Toyota on Saturday when I had my oil changed. I don't know anything about it, other than the fact a couple of people were looking at it.

BTW, this was in Houston.

Florian, I didn't mention in my last post, but ags4ever post reminded me. About a 4 months ago I was looking for a used Prius and ran across one that was recently titled in a FEMA county, then auctioned. On a CarFax report (see carfax.com) it will show up as a flood warning.

With the big hurricane season we had in the gulf there is a slight chance that a used car may have been flooded, so get a CarFax report yourself (not from dealer). Some people don't worry too much about it, but for me it was enough for me not to buy the car.

It was a Classic Prius with 100k mi for about $9000-or-best-offer
