Default Buying January 2007

So, what is the latest thinking on buying today in the SF Bay Area?

-Which dealer was most aggressive on pricing?

-One salesman told me that the Touring model no longer exists. True?

-What's the latest on the odds of getting a HOV lane pass?

I thought HOV sticker is all gone...every Toyota dealer now has Prius in stock, yes at least 2 in the bay area. Invoice pricing is offered right away with 0% APR for 2 years but it expires today. It's kinda unbeliveable offer but again Prius and HCH are no longer so hot in Cali because no more HOV pass is available.

Yes, buying yesterday would have been a good idea, as 0% APR is a good way to save some money. But I have been too busy to make it happen.

It's funny how little talk there is about the TOURING Prius on this site. I'm also not finding much info on the web. Weird. If anyone has any input about it, please do let me know.

I am not sure if there are any HOV stickets left. I don't "need" one, but it would be nice to have. I thought California had released another slug of them.

0% APR seems to be extended as well as special lease price - just saw the TV commercial. If you check on craigslist and search 07 Prius, you will see many salesmen posted invoice price with 0% APR, very tempting.

I was able to take advantage of the 0% financing sale and get the color and package I wanted even though we couldn't get out until the day after the sale ended. I talked to a few others that were able to do the same. As for the sticker, the word is out now that they are all gone and the only way you can get one is to buy the car it is attached to...

Still smiling here and lots to learn.

Dale
