Default Dash Lights

I just picked up my first Prius today. I was wondering if the secondary dash lights are supposed to be so dim. I have them turned up to the highest setting, yet some of the lights (steering wheel controls, window actuators, etc..) are barely visible. Is this the way they are or is there a way to make them brighter? Thanks for any info.

Don't think so ... you are right ... those steering wheel lights are nearly pointless unless driving along a secluded 2-lane under an Alabama night sky.

Thumbs up Re: Dash Lights

Haha....that's totally true. Thanks for the quick reply. I did look through alot of treads and found out this is a problem with alot of owners. There's no fix. Oh well...hopefully I'll adjust to it.

My lights aren't dim at all. There's a "day mode" (I think the upper right button will get you to that button) button. If day mode is off, display will be dim (or vice versa - been a very long time since I used that day mode button).

I like my display a little dim at night, and bright in the daytime.

There is no way to change the brightness of the steering wheel lights.

Yeah I read that there was no way to get them any brighter. And I'm not sure what the right button you're referring to.

OH, the steering wheel lights. Thought you were referring to the lights on the dashboard, i.e. speedometer, etc. The upper right button on the toushscreen display. Think it's the info button.
