ist it possible to add ground claerance to the prius??

the current is about 5.6 in, i would need about 7, so 1.4 inches more??

Hi,

I don't know of any but if you come up with something, I know a few folks who'd like to hear about it.

Increasing the height will increase drag and lower your overall mileage noticeably. Why do it?

Some Prius owners live and visit places with unimproved roads. Heck, the first time I pulled off the Interstate in Shreveport LA I tried to do a turn around in a parking lot a pot hole led to 'scraping bottom.'

Sure they'll lose some MPG but without doing the experiment, we won't know how much. So it is worthwhile to find out and quantify the effect.

Of course the other side of the coin is to reduce the clearance and improve mileage. Then there is the trick the LA, low rider homeboys do:

i live in mexico, in some parts of the country which i don't visit very often are high speed.reducers (topes), which i can hardly pass in the HCH 1,
so I'm looking for possiblities to adjust the height of a prius, as I'm considering it as a next possible vehicle..
