I may finally cross over to a hybrid (i know) but i was wondering if anyone has experience with this model Prius

That's the NHW11 aka 1st gen that we got in the US. bwilson4web has had one for ages and I think he still has it. I think the best place to ask questions is on priuschat where there are plenty of NHW11 owners and is plenty of info.

Personally, I'd need to know a LOT more about that particular unit on sale than just the price and model year.

FWIW, I think you should spend a little more and get a 2nd gen aka NHW20 aka 04 to 09 model year, maybe an 05 at the oldest.

If you live in a CARB emissions state, the HV battery 04 is warranted for 10 years/150K miles. AFAIK, that started w/the 04 model year. For those not in CARB states, the HV battery is warranted for only 8 years/100K miles.
