Default How long have you been on the waiting list?

I'm thinking about picking up a Prius and was wondering what the current wait is, particularly in Florida. Not giving up my HCHII, but looking for a second vehicle. Please weigh in if you are currently on a waiting list, and how long you've been waiting.

Toyota of Tampa Bay has a brand new 2008 in stock. They have greedily added a $4995. limited market adjustment to the retail price however.

I was at my dealership this past Friday for an oil change on my Prius and spoke with my salesman. He said the waiting list is up to 6 months long now.

Thats sickening. I noticed both Honda and Toyota have up'd their baseline finance rates. Honda went from 2.9% in June to 4.9% in July. Toyota is offering 8.9%??? What's up with that?

LMAO!!

I bought a used Prius in Dallas for $4.5k the other day. It has a bad traction battery but then I already have a spare. <grins>

I'm headed over there this weekend to check it out and tow it back. I understand that "Matt's Rancho Martinez Mexican Restaurant" has excellent chicken fried steak so I'm planning to get my 'cholesterol fix' and head back to Huntsville AL.

My local dealer had 2 in stock the other day...no waiting list. They sell them for retail...no extra markup.
I told them I'de take an '09 when they come in.
Any dealer that adds to the retail price would never see any of my money...ever, and I'de make sure they knew it.

OOps...sorry, kinda of a teaser to someone looking huh?
I'm in Ca. Little too far for you. Many of the Ca. dealers are adding $3k to the Prius price. Luckily our dealer isn't so ridiculous.
Our area is just that way though. They've had a Hybrid Camry on their lot for weeks....I've seen them elsewhere selling over retail as well.

It took me two weeks to get delivery on mine. That was a couple of months ago though.

The dealer was very good. I got just exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price.

Ask for Michael Bucke if you call. He was my salesman and everything went perfectly.

I drove there from MI to get it because of the long wait here.
