Default Are Hybrid sales on and upswing or flat?

Ok, I turn on the news yesterday and there's a report that states that Hybrid sales on on a "big" upswing due to, in no small part, the cost of gas. Later during the evening there's a report on another station about how the cost of gas has had no affect on the sales of Hybrids - sales are flat. What gives. Are the reliable figures anywhere?

.

You can also check the monthly sales numbers. I can't remember which publication I have found them in - Wards automotive perhaps??? At least Honda's are broken out by model and specificly by hybrid.

"US Hybrid Sales in April Back Over 21,000; Second Highest Month Yet"

They tend to crunch the numbers each month.
