I had an embarrassing thing happen to me yesterday. I ran a red light in my Prius. It was during the morning commute, and I was at a busy intersection, waiting, and I was first in line at the light, and for some reason I just went through the red! Once I did it I thought, what the heck????
Anyway today I realized what happened, and its funny but not funny. My Prius digital screen was on "Consumption", the one that shows the green bars and average mpg every five minutes. I think I was thoroughly distracted by something, and I had my right eye on the screen and my left eye on, well, perhaps the road? I dunno. When the five minute interval registerd on the screen, it was green, of course. And I took it as a green light! It was like someone had me programmed to do this. How thoroughly mindless could I be? Well, it was morning, and I hadn't had my coffee.....
Now, I'm pretty embarrassed that I was so out of it during the morning commute that I would do this, but.....
Anyway, funny-not funny story.

Just be glad you didn't get pulled over. You'd have some heck-of-a-time trying to explain that psychology the cop.
