Pretty cool!

Bet they don't drop their wrench on it though!

What was the recall for? What did you do with the old battery?

Why doesn't the Prius have fold-down seats? In the pics, it looks like there's plenty of room to fold-down the seats & lay in cargo.

Thanks for the pictures Toytech! As a Prius I owner, I am also very interested in why you made a recall.

ElectricTroy, the Prius I does have foldable back seats.

It is the Canadian recall 405 and the battery is removed and all the positive terminals are cleaned than resealed. The battery is than put back into the car.

Do you know the reason for why the positive terminals are cleaned? Is this recall only for Canadian-sold Priuses?

The positive posts are corroding causing a slight resistance in the battery which is pick up by the battery ECU which sets a code. I don't know if it's a US. recall but the training film was done by Toyota USA. Check with your local Toyota dealer.

Yes this service campaign was done on US cars as well. I don't remember the campaign number but if it was done on your car there should be a sticker on the inside door jamb (front drivers side) indicating when it was done. Mailers went out to all registered owners affected.
