Yes, the turning radius of the Prius is excellent. A bit too excellent, because my confidence outweighed my common sense. Of course, I figured the worst that would happen was that my tire would go up the curb, but apparently the hubcap sticks out a bit. Great.

I scraped my hubcap and the cement from the curb filed down the edge a small bit, definitely tearing away the small bevel on the outer circumference. Oh, no! Perhaps I'll take a picture so you call can see tomorrow.

In the meanwhile, I'm depressed about what I did! Is there any way that I can file out or smooth the roughness now on my hubcap? It won't be perfect anymore, but perhaps I can make it less obvious. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jason:

___I don’t watch Ebay motors for Prius’ or HW for them but I do watch it for Insight and Corolla HW. There are many offerings of rims and hub caps for those two vehicles and I wouldn’t be surprised if you could find a hub cap or 4 at a great price as well …

___Good Luck

What is a "great price" for a hubcap? I know nothing about them.

I really am not happy about what happened, and question how much of an impact it has on the value of my car. I suppose it's minor -- a few inches of scratch -- but it sure bugs me!
