Vi Bilägare (Car Owners) today published a test of five cars. The cars were tested for holiday purposes, and driven 900 miles. Result:
1. Volvo S40, 23 points (of course, these are Swedish car journalists

)
2. Toyota Prius, 19 points
3. VW Golf, 15 points
4. Opel Meriva, 12 points
5. Daewoo Nubira, 7 points
The Prius was acknowledged for:
- Quiet ride
- Reliability
- Ease of drive
- Quick passing
- Consumption statistics on info panel
- Voice controlled audio, navigation and phone
- Spacious interiour
- Mileage (41 mpg)
They didn't like:
- Feel of steering
- Passengers riding in the back seat cannot be taller than 1.8 metres (how much is that in foot and inches?)
- Cannot tow
- Expensive roof cargo holders
- Poor visibility backwards
- Mileage (35 % less than the promised 55 mpg)
- Takes little cargo
