Wow! :o

Talk about regenerative braking.

Imagine how much a stop like that charges the battery.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

I wonder... in crashes like that where does the engine go? This isn't a Rolls Royce here where it slips under the car. It just turns into a pancake and that's that?

I'm told by my Honda dealership that in the case of frontal impact the engine is supposed to roll down and out of the way, not in your lap.

I would assume Toyota is the same, makes sense.

Efficient drivers do it better.
1003 miles a tank personal record. 74MPG calculated. HCH1 CVT

Steve,
I'd assume so too. My corolla has drop out engine mounts...simple technology I would hope to find in the Prius.
Cheers,
Steven

ROFL nice post kenny!

I went to the toyota.co.jp site and the engine DOES drop down. I saw it in some pictures on that site.
