I think we had a thread on this subject last month, but I can't find it.

Anyway, whilst sitting here in Chamberlain, SD looking for info on how to use the CD changer in my '06 Prius (my 4th gen iPod died), I ran across something I was interested in: using a trailer hitch mount to carry a bike.

Ooops. And there it is on p353 of the '06 Manual: "Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer with your Toyota. Toyota also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, etc. Your Toyota is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow or mounted carriers."

It is a warranty issue. Once the warranty is over, do with it what you wish.
