Default San Fran. Bay Area - Service recommendation??

I bought my 2007 Prius approximately 5,000 miles ago. I made a Saturday appointment, 8:30 a.m., for my check up. When I showed up there were at least 100 cars in line in front of me, all waiting to simply be checked in. This ain't gonna work.

Who do you use for your Prius service in the SF area, specifically on the Peninsula? I work in Palo Alto, so I can work with someone in the south bay, also.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I guess this is one of those things that happens when you buy a brand that every third person has.

Berkeley is not so close to you, but consider giving Art's a try:

Did not get to visit them when I was nearby, but a couple of clients have offered good reports.

Consider this...the only service they will do that really matters is the oil change. So unless your Prius is throwing codes and runs bad, do oil changes yourself and save a lot of money and time.

Must disagree, Resist. Safety checks on brake suspension and steering are important. I won't claim that every Toyota shop does them well, however.

To get max life (min cost/mile) out of the tires, they need rotations.

What you can't do a safety inspection on your own car? You can buy your own service manuals. I have yet to find a dealership that follows an auto manufactures advice on service, so I do my own and save money in the process. There are two things that matter the most in modern vehicles, oil and brakes. Rarely does anything else need to be concerned about these days.
