Default Scissor Doors

bparsons posted here about putting on Gull Wing Doors, which given the futuristic look of the Prius would be absolutely precious - please post photos if you do it! Also... consider adding a Time Flux Capacitor and Mr Fusion.

Unfortunately that thread was closed so here's a continuation of it - a question was asked about what Scissor Doors look like:

Hummm, other than overhead clearance and 'sword of Damocles' effect, interesting. But I'd still prefer 'van style' doors that pop-out 6-8 inc' inhes and slide forward in the front and to the rear for the back.

Now that would go a long way in preventing door dings if all vehicles had them. Parking spaces are just getting to small.
