Question Toyota Prius electric motor

Hi, my name is Rodolfo and im studying mechatronics engineering,

I would like to know some details of the Prius motor in order to develop an investigation about the electric motor of hybrid cars.

Specifically I would like to know the manufacturer of the Toyota Prius ELECTRIC MOTOR and any other specification (like weight, dimentions, etc) would be very very very welcome.

Thank you for your help

Rodolfo V.

Hi,

Start with Wiki and the Prius entry and then check out the references in the FAQ. For now, assume the manufacturer is Toyota although many parts come from subcontractors. The book cited in the FAQ has the answer to your question.

Hi,

The Prius motor is in-house production by Toyota.
Following site is good place to understand the Toyota HSD system.
