Default Window Tinting Interferes with Prius GPS?

I was reading in the Prius GPS Guide that window tinting may interfere with GPS reception because most window tinting materials contain metallic substances. Has anyone noticed GPS reception being degraded by having tinted windows?

Thats only correct if you use a metal tint. I just recently tinted my Prius with Huper Optik Ceramic based tint with no problems to the NAV system. The other choices are FormulaOne Pinnacle Series or Sol-Tek Carbon Series. The Huper Optik has the best Solar and IR (heat) rejection. Expect to pay around $400-500 dollars to have your car tinted.

Where is the GPS sensor? My friend and I were thinking about mounting the UPS GPS receiver in the rear window where there are no defrost wires, but the 'stock' location might be better, depending on where that is.
