A little over a week ago, I drove to Colorado again. After an hour leaving Dallas traffic, I slowed from 60-65mph to 45mph on Hwy 287 along the Red River during the night. Thinking if I'd just tracked it after the engine was warmed up and poking at 45mph, it might have been as high as 95mpg. It peaked at 85.5, then my stop set it down just bit before taking this picture:
In 1988, I got 76mph driving from Dallas to Witcha Falls in my CRX HF - record finally broken. Funny thing was I parked on the side with the rail tracks, then 45 minutes later I had one rude awaking when a train passed by.

The rest of the trip to Colorado I averaged 60mpg - got in a hurry.
