O.k. maybe I've missed this in the the past, but I just test drove a 5 speed 2001 Insight and it did not show LMPG (lifetime MPG) or segment MPG. I checked the Trip A, Trip B and the Odometer. None of them had mpg readings?!?

I did not know it was even possible to omit this from showing the on display.

The FCD (Fuel Consumption Display) did show the mpg.

Does anyone know how to make the display supress these readouts? Or does anyone know how to "undo" their supression?

Just curious.

Hi Eric:

___Yes, you can suppress one or both from displaying and you can bring back just one or both. You can do this in every display as well including the Trip A/B, FCD, and Lmpg/Odometer. I tried this for a few miles when I first received mine and I did not like it at all

Quote:
Both the instantaneous bar graph and the average fuel efficiency number can be turned off at the driver's discretion. To turn off the bar graph, press and hold the FCD button until the bar & legend disappear. To also turn off the numerical average, press and hold the FCD button again, until that disappears.
___You can use the FCD to cycle the meters back on in the same manner.

___Good Luck
