Default 12v and IMA die every few hours?

Hello,

I've done some research online but have yet to find anything very relevant to my issue. I have a 2005 HCH and about two weeks ago or so ago my IMA light came on. Now, I had the IMA replaced by honda about a year or so ago after going through the whole crap battery pack fiasco as so many other people have and was not pleased at the prospect of it crapping out on me again, but the indicator went off and did not come back on again.

A few days ago my car would not start, barely enough power to illuminate the indicator lights. I still had the stock 12v battery in the car (it was the stock battery, simply incredible it lasted so long) and decided that it was the culprit and replaced it.

The next day the car would not start. I got it jumped, drove it around for awhile to let it charge back up and hoped the problem would be solved.

Every day since (sometimes just after a few hours) the battery dies and the car wont start. When it does start back after a jump, the IMA only has a bar or so, leading me to believe that it also is getting drained. The IMA light is now coming on more frequently, seemingly a few moments after I start driving the car.

Autozone ran the codes for me, and the ones that popped up show a bad o2 sensor. I admit that the car has had some sluggish acceleration which is apparently a sign of a bad sensor, but to be fair its a HCH, they don't have great acceleration to start with.

Could a bad o2 sensor be causing this problem? My brother is a mechanic and I'm taking the car to him over the weekend to see if he can figure it out, but he has little experience with hybrids. If I can narrow down what it is, he at the least can install the part.

Ive seen everything from a shorted fuse to a bad IMA as a diagnosis to this issue, but I would appreciate any input from you fine people. If you need specific codes I can supply those as well.

Post the codes please.

Buy a grid charger to help maintain the ima battery.
