Default 2005 HCH manual for sale.

Guys, after falling over dead while filling our Dodge Dakota, I swung by the local Honda Dealer, Ken Dixon Honda. I stop in once and awhile to see what they have on the lot. a 2005 HCH caught my eye. Looked just like mine. The window sticker said it had just over 20000 miles and they were asking $21,995! I like this dealership quite a bit. I get my car serviced there when it is due. I didn't by my HCH from them, but they did provide me a fair price quote when I was in the market. I relayed the story about looking at a used hch about 2 weeks ago that had been sold for quite a chunk of change. Is this a sign of things to come?

On a different note, the dealer had a Honda Fit on the lot. Kind of ugly in my opinion, but the price was right, and I can get over the looks. The car was under $16,000 and it looked well outfitted. Base price was under $14,000 and mileage was 33/38. It was a five speed, and definitely looked tiny next to the Accord it was parked next to.

.

In August I paid $18k bottom line for the 2004 with only 14k miles on it. That one you saw definitely sounds like a stretch at $22k.

It seems like a natural mechanism that as the price of gas gets higher, the residual value of used hybrids that get good mileage will increase relative to cars that get poor gas mileage (until the point when supply exceeds demand again). It should put a big smile on many of our faces! :-)
