Talking 63.9, small brag

after i filled up this morning, halfway through my 40 mile commute, i managed to maintain 63.9 MPG until i got home again. this is stlll such a great challenge to see how well i can do. and only 2 chevy trucks with loud pipes felt it necessary to growl past me at high speed.

.

Best fill 66.7 MPG, best tank 801.5 miles

Pretty nice! My commute doesn't get near that. Of course, that's my work commute straight through downtown. It likes to sit near 50 MPG. My weekend commutes (driving habits anyways) are what have been raising my tanks as they tend to beat 60 consistently. If only I could swap.

Cool! I can pull that off to now I learned how to drive like my grandma's dead grandma but I cannot maintain it for more the 15-20 miles.
When I visit Houston I can keep it between 65-70mpg running around my in-laws area but once I hit the open road down it goes.

thanks. i usually freeway it to work, but coming home, especially on friday nights, really sucks. so i take the back roads, and i can go slower up hills if need be without too much hassle.

I bet you would have gotten 90mpg in a 5-speed Insight.

At the expense of bashing my own gender, I don't understand the guys that think "fart pipes" are so cool.

61.5mpg lifetime - 82mpg in recent months

Hi Laurie:

___Both you and KLCarch are knocking out some serious FE! Who would have known as I thought hypermiling was a man’s sport

___Congrats indeed and keep up the great tanks. You only have 1 more to go for full blown Hypermiler recognition. You have some serious tanks showing for a new owner and I hope this coming winter is a mild one for you and your new HCH …

___Good Luck
