Default AUX Plug and MPG on a Hybrid Civic

Hey guys,

First post here - got here through google

Basically, I have (my parents ) a Honda Hybrid Civic 2010, now it has an AUX option in the dashboard but I just can't find the plug for it, sorry if this sounds stupid - I just hope I don't have to get a mechanic to have the lead to the actual 3.5 mm jack ? I haven't checked in the glove compartment to be honest but I have a bad feeling nontheless.

The second thing I caught up with when I came here, people have signatures saying they get like 52 mpg on a 2006 Hybrid Civic. HOW ?!

Thanks.

LILfeatha

Page 211 of the owners manual:

Auxiliary Input Jack

The auxiliary input jack is underneath the accessory power socket on the front panel. The system will accept auxiliary input from standard audio accessories using a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo miniplug. When a compatible audio unit is connected to the jack, press the AUX button (AUX icon on models with navigation system) to select it.

As for the mileage the best way to increase it is to slow down and keep the tachometer below 2k RPM as much as possible.

I forgot to mention I have a European version (I live in Israel)

I actually checked underneath the cigarette lighter and there's nothing, I checked the manual and it states it should be there ("On some models")

Will I have to open up the console and start messing with the cables etc ?

If so I will just burn an MP3 disc for sure.

Thanks
