Default Bug Deflector

I'm tired of having to wipe my car windshield every time I take it out, and in my city it's pretty much bug country every day so I started looking into bug deflectors. I have an '05 and I couldn't find any, not even at the honda website. Does anyone know if they exist, and if they do, do they really help with the smacked bug on the windshield?

They have these avail for the Civic in Canada. But, for some reason they don't carry this in the US. I have contacted www.collegehillshonda.com about this and they are looking into it.

I am not sure. But, I am interested in getting one since I already have 2 rock chips and I have had the car for less than a month. So, hopefully it will help some.

I had one of these on My Pilot, and was pleased. Late last year we purchased an Odyssey, and I installed one on it. I think I may soon be ordering my thrid "perfect fit hoodguard for my Civic." I suppose if there is enough interest we could look into a group buy.

I am just not quite sure if it will look right on a small sedan. I think I may settle for a Honda half nose mask instead.

I have noticed with the windshield being much closer to horizontal than the typical car, it gets less bug splats than other vehicles I have owned. Rain X seems to help with this by making the window 'slicker'

The issue with bug shields is that over time the vibration from the wind will errode part of the paint job if the bug shield comes in contact with the vehicle at all. The standoff that they sell with the shield have never lasted for me. I had them on 2 vehicles and will not put them again because of this.
