CVT transmission fluid flush? What color is your fluid?

CVT transmission fluid flush? What color is your fluid?
I'm about to change the CVT fluid on my 99K mi. car. The manual says it takes 3.1 quarts for a change and 5.3 quarts for an overhaul. Since a change still leaves almost 2 quarts of the old fluid in the transmission, does someone do flushes for these CVT's? What if I change it twice with a short drive around the block in between for a flush effect? The fluid in the bottle is clear while the old fluid on the dipstick has turned a tan/brown color, kind of like motor oil 1000 miles after a change. How clear does the fluid look on the dipstick after a change for some of you?

I would change the oil and replace those 3.1 qts, drive around, change/replace oil again, drive around, change/replace oil again, drive around, and finally change/replace oil again. So I'm looking at about 9.3 qts of oil to be used. Fluid should look lighter and smell newer than the old oil. Hope that helps. That's what I got from the 2006 Owner's manual.
