Default Fan complaint

I had a 04 HCH1
Now I have an 06 HCH2

The fan on the 04 was MUCH more quiet than the 06's.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

Default Re: Fan complaint

When I saw the subject, "Fan Complaint," I thought this might have something to do with Barry Bonds or Ron Artest.

Seriously, I have the 2005 HCH, and I can't imagine the fan being any louder than that! When the fan is still on after I get home, you can hear it in many parts of the house. At first my wife thought that I had left the car idling.

In fact, now that I think about it -- the noise from idling is probably less than the noise from the fan!

I'm talking about the fan that blows air into the car, not the one up at the radiator.

On the 04 at the low fan-speed I could hardly hear it when the car was moving.
