Talking Finally bought one!

After a couple months of trying to decide if the HCH was for me, and then waiting a couple more months to keep my lease, I've finally put a deposit down on an '05 Magnesium Metallic HCH which I should be picking up tomorrow! I'm pretty excited and will keep everyone updated. I'll probably buy my extended warranty online unless the dealer can match an online price.

That's the one I have in a CVT.. Turns out to be the most popular color in Northern Virginia..

I'm now an official member of the HCH club! I picked up my car on Monday, and drove home. Reset the trip meter and registered above 50 MPG for the ~20 miles home! Drove to work today, around 50 miles a mix of backroads, highway and city and registered right around 48mpg. When I get home I'll check the tire pressue. So far very happy.

Question - With the MT, the car will autostop when stopped and I put it in neutral. Is there any way to get it to autostop when coasting down a hill?

Not unless you are going down that hill REALLY slowly....AutoStop only kicks in below 15 miles per hour.....

What I do in situations like that is "reboot" the HCH. Search "reboot" on this site to see the full description and dangers/warnings for using this method, but in certain situations I use it freely and without fear of negative consequences...to each their own however, so please do the research of the Pros and Cons before using that method...

Good luck and have fun !!
