Ran Voltron (2003 HCH with 76K) to empty took 13.22 gallons at the cutoff to fill her up. 53.5 MPG for 708 miles.



Took the chance that I'd make it home, the only part that was keeping me on edge was when I had two bars left it went to one then back to two then to one again, as usual, and then none but never came back to one bar..... My commute is 30 miles one way with rolling hills from Rockville, Maryland to Frederick Maryland. If you know the area I take route 28 to route 85; 50 mph the whole way. Posted picture of dash. I know its not the best mileage, but its hard to hypermile with hill and all.



I use Michelin Hydro Edge tires @ 45 PSI

Congrats on the 700-mile tank! And I think 53.5 MPG is very good.

I'm still on my 2nd tank with the HCH-II. I would be happy for a 500-mile tank, right now! I'm just starting on this hybrid journey, and getting 43.x so far. Enjoying the ride immensely, though.

BTW, I named my car Voltron, as well. Didn't know the name was used. I saw Sparky and Electronimo were already taken, so I went with Voltron.
