Yup - works the other way, too:

39 mpg in liters/100km

should give you something around 6.

Now you can converse with your northern neighbors!

I am thinking I should probably post in mpg as the majority of user are state side .

Here is my conversion page which I need to use for inputting my Tanks on the database.

http://www.tdiclub.com/misc/conversions.html

Cheers!

So my continuing and existing 5.5L/100KM is giving me 42.76 MPG which I think is fabulous given the below 0 C or 32 F .

EPA mileage for the HCHII 2008 is now 40mpg city and 45mpg highway according to Honda's website. This mileage rating is also accurate for HCHII models starting from 2006. The 49/50mpg city/highway did not really reflect real life usage of the vehicle and recent EPA regulations modified how they tested for "real" mileage rating on vehicles starting in 2008.

If you query spritmonitor.de, you'll see this, which for models made in 2005 and up, results in 45 samples averaging 5.72 l/100 km (41 MPG US-Gallon). Other stats-gathering sites may have other results.

There is a tendency on GH for some people to try to manipulate their results, either to make themselves feel better or to "race" the HCH-II against the Prius. 46 MPG isn't something you can count on unless you're a compulsive type.

I just noticed there a lot of stars (hypermilers) in the mileage database.

I'm now a hypermiler! (even at -25F)

I think they may need to revise the standards needed to achieve this.

Cheers

I think there are more people achieving hypermiler status in the HCHII database now because the EPA data was updated to the newer, lower EPA figures for mpg.
In the HCHI databases, the old EPA figures are listed, so fewer people can beat those numbers. Ahh, but we are a feisty bunch. We keep trying.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
