No problem. I couldn't resist a good "quest".
I hope they work out better than the mats you had, and more importantly, that you get some resolution to the other problems you've had with the car

Well, I fired off an e mail to this web site, their response was not encouraging: :

Robert,

Unfortunately there is no difference in the quality. If you are looking for
an upgrade I would suggest the all-season floor mats.

I have a 2007 Civic Hybrid, I am finding the floor mats to be of poor
quality, I see on your site, you sell floor mats with a CIVIC logo in them,
is the carpet of better quality than the foam backed ones that come in the
car?

Dang, that stinks. I'm glad you checked on it first, and the guy was honest with you. At least you didn't order something that would end up being of the same poor quality that you had in the first place.
I think what I'd do is go to a Honda dealer, and take a look at the mats in an older Civic, maybe an '03-'05. See if the shape is much different than in the newer cars. If the shape is the same, I would see if it's possible to get those mats in a color that would go okay with your interior.
Either that, or just go with some good quality generic mats that would fit in the car. I found some for my car that I think fit even better than the original mats I have.

I also have a hole starting in the floor mat right where my right heel sits while driving. I do drive a lot (800 miles a week) but still wouldn't say its an okay thing. I brought the car in for a regular B1 service today and broached the question of "So, are you going to get me a new floor mat" with the person at the service desk. I got bumped up to a manager who was not in today.

I've been thinking of moving to an all weather floor mat with winter coming but I hate the floor mat "game" ("we'll throw in floor mats") the most of all my car buying experiences. A small thing in the bigger picture of a car I really love but not something I should need to replace at 35K miles.

You're lucky you got to 35K. Mine started to wear through at 5K.

That said ... I emailed the local dealer, they said yep it's warrantable so they're ordering me a new set. Will keep fingers crossed that the new ones hold out better than the old, and if not will go order a set of the all-season mats.

Same problem with our Hybrid mats. Hole wears in heal area of right foot. Dealer has replaced twice, we're at 20K miles. They are crap, and Honda knows it.

I think you are right, we, as a whole are going to have to make Honda replace them every time they start to wear. They came with the car and are gaurenteed for the same 3 years, not to mention, each time they are replaced, there is another 1 year gaurentee attached to just the mat...Yeah I know floor mats seem like a small thing but, unless we hit them in their wallet they won't realize that putting $10 mats in a $20,000++++ car is not acceptable.

Bob I hate to burst your bubble but any part replaced under warranty does not start a new warranty period. A part installed under warranty assumes the identity of the original part. In other words if you don't pay for it then there is no additional warranty.
