The HCH has a subtle rear spoiler that the other Civics don't.

yesterday i saw 6 as well as the day before (a mix between civics and priuses). today i have seen 14!! mostly priuses, until later in the day when one hch was right behind mine, and then later i spotted another heading the opposite direction.
those numbers don;t count my car, or another hch that works in the plaza behind where i work.

I saw my fist '06 HCH today. Pretty interesting story behind it though.

My neice just bought a "guzzler" Element today so I went to the dealer to defend her if she needed it. (which she didn't as the ENTIRE family showed up at the dealer, 6 people)

As I was checking her Element out I saw out of the corner of my eye a saleman and a couple circling my car. I noted to my father "Check it out, they're selling my car". A few minutes later we walked over towards my car when the saleman asked if I would show it to the couple as they came to the dealer looking for an Insight (not knowing the extreme limited availablity). I did a 20 minute overview on it for them (honest, full 20 minute presentation). While I mentioned I owned an HCH the salesman said he just sold the first '06. I got excited and asked what color, he said "Gold" (translation, dirt color IMO).

A few hours later I told the story to my wife as we were in the HCH, I went home and swapped cars - first time in a week since I drove it. I had just mentioned I wouldn't mind a '06 HCH and of course as she was yelling no at me while we waited at a stop light The HCH I was talking about pulled up behind me! Took the driver & passenger a moment to notice there was an "old" HCH in front of them even though I have a ton of additional Hybrid markings.

I just think it was cool as I was talking about the very same HCH II it pulled up behind me at a stoplight. No, I don't live in a one horse town.
