Default Help with 2005 alarm

I installed the alarm system for my o HCH. When I did it, there were some instructions that described how to program it. There were two modes. One armed the alarm automatically. The other required you to arm it manually. This is how I set mine up. A couple of days ago it changed to the other mode. I must have hit some combination of random buttons. I want to change it back.

But of course, I have lost the instructions.

The installation instructions I have found online only describe the actual installation, not he programming. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Clay

Is it the factory alarm or an aftermarket?

It is the factory alarm. It is a module I got from one of the original honda parts places. The wiring was already done at the factory, the module was just a bolt in item

well, this shows you how to program your remote.

But it probably won't help you directly. Maybe you can search their forums for the answer.

Thanks, I saw that but do no think that is it. There were instructions for programming it two different ways. Maybe someone else did the install and has the instructions.

Hey Clay;

If I read your Post correctly. I think all you will have to do is call or go by your (Friendly-Honda-Dealer) and see either the Service manager or the Parts manager and they will do one of these things. Tell you how to switch it between the Modes or they will make you a "Copy" of the Alarms Instructions. Either way you will be fixed up.

You did say it was a Honda Alarm that just Plugged into the Honda Wiring. Right?

Worse case the dealer will give you the Number for the Company that supplies the alarm and you can place a call to them and ask them to E-Mail you the instructions to the Alarm.

HTH;

Terry

BTW; If the alarm has a name on it you might be able to go on Line and look the instructions up.
