Default Honda '06 MP3 plug-in?

Hi,
I hear the '06 Honda Element has a plug-in for the I-Pod....does the '06 HCH have the same?
...if so, do you suppose that radio can be installed in a '05 HCH?
b.

HCH has same radio as 06 Civic EX which has the jack on the dash near cig plug on left side. I saw it on EX I dorve. The LX that I drove does not have the jack.

brian

i have a 2004 hch with an aftermarket radio that allows the ipod to be plugged in easily from the front faceplate. This feature is called auxiliary input (or aux-in) and can be found on many different aftermarket radios.

if you want auxiliary input for your 2005 hch, i'd suggest installing something similar to this:

Aiwa CDC-X204, CDC-X304, CDC-X444, CDC-X504 head units. I personally have the X304 and purchased it for $99 from crutchfield.com. My ipod simply plugs in to the input jack on the bottom right of the faceplate. You can find other head units with better quality/high price as well with the same feature.

I'm not sure if the 06 radio can be installed on 05, and wouldn't bet on it.

I'm sorry but I can't seem to reduce the size of these pictures. Anyway,

Mounting kits are provided by Crutchfield.com when you order

not perfect, but it works. bends a little, but hasn't been a problem for me.

add some lights, add ipod dock and ir remote on the steering wheel - good to go!

The wires were a little messy at the time, so please ignore that.

And I should make it clear that you must pretty much gut out your center console to get at removing the stock stereo:

Thanks. What is up with those lights. You have wires everywhere.

there are only 5 wires on there, and none of them are tangled. i said before, it was messy, but i havE since fixed them. the lights provide soms soft illumination of the cabin's front seats during the night - i got two of my other friends to install similar lights too
