I paid $19,905 for my 2003 HCH. I bought it in July '02, which means I got one of the first units in Baltimore. There's NO SALES TAX when buying a hybrid in Maryland!

Hope is like a candle held against the night.

I got my 2005 HCH CVT in June from Koons Honda in Manassas, VA. I paid $18,040 base plus TTL, so almost exactly $19,000 total, out-the-door, including all charges. I spent about two weeks bouncing quotes from one dealership to the next throughout Virginia and both Carolinas. Another dealership in Fredericksburg, VA - Pohanka Honda - was going to match that price, but they didn't have the Eternal Blue Pearl paint color that I wanted. One salesperson at Midlands Honda in Columbia, SC, told me that I was actually hurting the economy by demanding to pay at or below invoice.

I'm obviously extremely happy with my purchase, since I would have only been able to get a manual at most dealerships with that price. I almost called off the deal to wait on the awesome '06 HCH coming out soon, but I needed a car right then and couldn't afford to wait at least four months. I depend on my car for lots of travel - I've already put more than 7,500 miles on it.

.

Got my 2005 Civic CVT with 68 miles on it (we put 45 of them on it during our test drive)... last week for $19494 plus tax and state fees.

So far, from the Hinda Dealers about the '06s, "I expect the HCH 2006 to be sold at MSRP"

I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

I purchased my 2003 for $13,500.00 (Canadian) with 50000 miles on it. I was looking at a Corolla at the same time but the Ontario government has a $1000.00 tax rebate for purchasers of alternative energy cars. The price with rebate and the great fuel economy made me a believer! I had a little Civic when they first came out many years ago. It was fun and efficient. The same things I enjoy about my Hybrid.
