Today I modified the sheet that I post outside my office, and got a lot of attention.
I showed 2 columns of my Excel file: the date, and my morning MPG.
At the bottom of the MPG column I put the Average ( 61.4 MPG) in bold letters.
Then I made a graph for the techies.

Then I made a huge headline that read, "61.4 MPG".
you can read the headline from down the hall.
I colored the 61.4 with a yellow highlighter.

I also added a few notes about the conditions:
Cruise control at 53 MPH, raised tire pressure
And this is the real show stopper, "You NEVER plug in a hybrid; hitting the brakes or decelerating charges the battery.

About 20 people stopped to talk today.
I feel like a JW ringing doorbells.
It is amazing that nobody knows you do not plug hybrids in.
The companys are NOT getting the word out.

Need fewer troops to support.
Drive a hybrid.
Best tank 71.65 MPG.

Before this car I spent two years learning hypermiling on my 2004 HCH1.

___When I got out of the Insight this morning at work, an electrician in a BMW 325i said it must be nice to get 50 to 60 mpg in it at today’s prices. When I said I have been receiving between 100 and 110 mpg over the last 2 months, he said, holy #$%#!

___Tonight on the way home (4.5 hours to drive 95 miles w/ a 36 mile stop and go monster traffic jam ), I was speaking with some folks in a Minivan to the side of me. We were talking about fuel economy and how I liked the car. When I told them I was at 98.9 mpg before the traffic jam at the 18 mile point and was at 87.9 mpg after another ~ 20 miles of this nightmare, they couldn’t believe it. I offered and at the next 4 car distance move and stop, one of the passengers jumped out to take a look at my gauge cluster. The expression I saw simply had to be seen

___I did finish up at 95.1 mpg which is great for the monster traffic nightmare I traversed but sucks as this tank is screwed and I only have 1 commute on it so far (99.8 mpg over 196.3 miles on Trip A) compared to the last few tanks I have had

___On the other side of the coin, there is an HCH 5-speed driver at work that is only receiving in the low 40’s in his. I mentioned this site for tips and tricks but apparently, he doesn’t care?

I always have to look for the release when I stop for gas. My co-workers still can't believe my mileage even though it isn't as good as what it could be. I think I'm averaging about 4-5 weeks between fill-ups for about 550-600 miles per tank. Unfortunately, my commute is almost all stop and go traffic for only 7 miles each way. I'm lucky when I get above 40 MPH and that doesn't seem to be optimal for good mileage. I have to fight to keep it above 45 MPG. It definitely does better on longer trips.

I guess I'm lucky as one of my ways to work I can go almost 50 miles none stop. It really does make a difference. I hate it when I take it to go shopping. Kevin

___There isn’t even close to enough ethanol or Biodiesel to power even a small percentage of today’s SI and Diesel ICE’s but CO2 wise, it is a zero sum vs. fossil fuels at 19 + pounds per gallon of petrol. It does have a positive energy balance (well to wheel so to speak) unlike H2 whether it is burned directly or via FCV in a PEM based Fuel Cell.

___As for future nukes used to produce H2, yes; I know all about that
