Dig this. I ordered one from one dealer. They told me they would get one (same exact car-mag pearl w/navi) by mid Feb. Problem was I had to sell my old car to a buyer who needed it ASAP. So I went crazy looking for one on the web for about 2 weeks and found one about 20 miles away! Grabbed it $500 under MRSP using leverage from my original dealer! Was able to also get my $500 deposit back from the other dealer. Don't be a sucker look hard and be patient. There out there!

Well, it looks like some goat saved Darwin from buying this HCH. (His ID on ebay is bittergoat). He bid $700 over MSRP.

haha...thanks to the goat. After i was outbid, the toyota dealership called me up to tell me that my red prius is ready. I'v'e been tryin' to decide whether to get a prius or a civic. It came down to what dealership called me first--or if i win the bid on this civic (i'm on the waiting list for a red prius, and a civic with navi). Its too bad i wont be part of the civic hybrid forum, looks like i'm gonna be a prius owner. Thanks for letting me hang out.

Good luck with that Prius. Let us know your impression after you've spent time in the Prius forum.

Even though you're buying a Prius doesn't mean you won't be welcome here. A lot of the mileage issues and driving techniques apply to both vehicles. Don't be a stranger.

I believe the 24086 doesn't include the destination charge. So it's a $700 rip.

has anyone has experience importing a car from the states to canada or vice versa? Is it ever worth the hassle if you know you can save over a couple of thousand on the price?

.

i got around 20 km a liter when i drove a civic 5 spd using advanced hypermiler techniques
and now I drive a salvage nwh20 prius that gets almost to 25 km/l with 195,000 km to date.
