Talking Im sharing my new experience...road trip !

Well, hi all once again . I decided to take my 4 month old HCH2 with 5,000 miles on it, on a road trip . From Nashville, TN..to Knoxville, TN..403.2 miles round trip total . I ran the whole trip with the a/c on and there were plenty of times when I was hitting 4,000 rpm on the tach to clear through the mountians..even ran the batteries dry once, but rest assured, this hybrid vehicle is awesome ! Overall average of 46.2 MPG with 3 people in the car, a trunk full of goods and horid cross winds..AWESOME .

And best of all , most of the trip was 90% done on cruise control, the other 10% of the trip was done with hypermiling techniques . Mind you Im usually hitting around 51-53 MPG byself driving it to work and back, so Im impressed with the car being loaded down with weight and the a/c on proving that kind of economy.. Filled up 8.838 gallons for the whole trip..thats great .

How does this car accelerate when getting on the highway and passing? I just started a thread on this. I'd love to know. My wife drove an 05 but I heard theh 06 had more power.

Well I, went from owning two corvettes , to this hybrid , and I think it is fine..for the 1.3 litre size motor, it does a great job . Acceleration is fine at just about any speed .
