Default IMA System Indicator & Malfunction Indicator Lamps came on at the same time.

2009 HCH approximate 39,000 miles. For those who think that the mileage might be mistated, I've had the car since 2/09 and drive about 100 miles/weekday between Septmber & June. Sometimes more during the Summer.

The IMA indicator and the one right under it on the dash that looks like an engine symbol (The Malfunction Indicator Lamp) both came on yesterday for no "apparent" reason. I haven't driven the car yet today with the exception of making certain that the gas cap was on completely and then driving it down the road and back (2 miles total).

Can anyone advise on what the problem might be?

A lot of the 2009 HCH are having problem with the packs for some reason. Have you been having the battery recalibration problem that are talked about on other threads? Try disconnecting the engine battery for 15 sec. then reconnect. If the lights don't come back you should be OK? Worth a try anyhow? Also have your 12 volt bat. checked out as this can cause that problem. Hal
