Major maintence schedule for HCHI
When does the timing belt need replacement, and when does the manual tranny need draining/refilling.
(I'm at 83k right now, thanks!)
Also, I do 10k oil changes on mobil 1 0w20 is that safe? It doesnt burn any oil.

Re: Major maintence schedule for HCHI
I found this info regarding the mileage interval for the manual trans fluid.
If I find the other (timing belt) info, I will post it here as well. (The maintenace schedule I am looking at makes you click each link separately, and is a bit time-consuming).
120,000 mi/192,000 km/6 yrs Scheduled Maintenance
Recommended service for your 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid:
Replace engine oil filter
Check front and rear brake wear
Check parking brake adjustment
Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots
Inspect suspension components
Inspect driveshaft boots
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS)
Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids
Inspect exhaust system#
Inspect fuel lines and connections#
#: See information on maintenance and emission warranty on page 146 of your owner's manual.
Replace manual transmission fluid
Check oil and coolant at each fuel stop
Check tire inflation and condition once a month

Re: Major maintence schedule for HCHI
hahahah. Ditto.
I meant to say - the timing belt is a chain, so only that needs to be adjusted correct? Or do they just check the tension on it?
